CI/CD & Embedded Build Engineer - Automation, C++ & DevOps (m/f/d)
How do you stop a drone in mid-air? Our Rocken partner develops and produces intelligent interception systems for unmanned aerial vehicles. With electrically powered Sentinel systems reaching speeds of up to 230 km/h, the company protects critical infrastructures from unwanted intruders from the air. The solutions combine autonomous flight control, intelligent seekers, and modular design – from pure interception to controlled removal to safety zones. The focus is always on minimising collateral damage. The team works at the interface of defence technology, robotics, and airspace surveillance. Flat hierarchies and short decision-making paths characterise the daily work. Are you ready to work on systems that redefine security? Then our Rocken partner looks forward to your application.Role:
In this role as a DevOps Engineer, you take responsibility for the further development of our build, test, and release infrastructure to ensure reliable, reproducible, and efficient software development and delivery. You work closely with our developers to identify friction points in the development process and develop pragmatic solutions. Your goal is to optimise our CI/CD workflows, build environments, test processes, and release procedures. You enjoy automating development processes and understanding complex build environments. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you bring your technical skills and solution-oriented approach to sustainably improve our engineering infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
You continuously develop our Gitea Actions workflows for build, test, and delivery.
You automate compilation, quality assurance, and deployment for C++ and embedded software.
You establish consistent toolchains and reproducible builds across local systems, runners, and targets.
You maintain Conan, containers, and Buildroot and optimise the technical development environment.
You improve test, release, and artefact processes together with the development teams and document relevant standards.
Qualifications:
You have training or a degree in computer science, software engineering, systems engineering, or comparable practical experience.
You have solid knowledge of CI/CD, Git-based workflows, and automated software delivery.
You are confident in the Linux environment and familiar with C++ build chains, dependency management, as well as Bash or Python.
Ideally, you have experience with Gitea Actions, Jenkins, Buildroot, Yocto, or cross-compilation.
You work in a structured, quality-conscious, and solution-oriented manner and gladly take responsibility for technical improvements.
