Project Manager Mobility and Traffic Planning (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF120,000 - 125,000Role:
On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced professional as Senior Project Manager: Traffic Planning & Mobility to lead demanding projects throughout the German-speaking part of Switzerland. You will handle diverse issues related to mobility concepts, traffic planning, traffic modelling and traffic simulation and lead interdisciplinary project teams. In addition to professional project responsibility, you will take on tasks in project acquisition and client development and further expand existing market relationships. A modern software environment with VISUM, TransCAD, VISSIM, VisWalk and CAD is central for analytical and planning work.
Responsibilities:
Independent management of complex projects in traffic planning and mobility throughout the German-speaking part of Switzerland
Development of overall traffic, mobility, access and traffic concepts for public and private clients
Execution and professional control of traffic analyses, traffic forecasts and variant studies
Construction, application and evaluation of macroscopic traffic models with VISUM and/or TransCAD
Execution of microscopic traffic simulations with VISSIM as well as modelling of pedestrian flows with VisWalk
Investigation and optimisation of traffic networks, junctions, traffic flows and capacities considering various modes of transport
Professional leadership of project teams as well as coordination of internal and external specialists
Responsibility for project budgets, deadlines, quality, resources and project reporting
Support and advice for municipalities, cantons, clients and other stakeholders on traffic planning issues
Responsibility for project acquisition, offer preparation and fee proposals as well as participation in presentations and tender procedures
Maintenance and targeted expansion of a client network in the Swiss traffic and mobility market
Preparation and presentation of traffic expert reports, decision bases and technical reports considering relevant VSS standards
Qualifications:
Completed studies in traffic planning, civil engineering, spatial planning FH/ETH or a comparable field
At least 5 years of professional experience in the traffic sector, ideally in the Swiss planning and consulting environment
Proven experience in project management and professional leadership of project teams
Experience in project acquisition, offer preparation and client development as well as an existing network in the Swiss market is an advantage
Good knowledge of traffic modelling and traffic simulation, ideally with VISUM / TransCAD and VISSIM / VisWalk
Knowledge of CAD as well as relevant VSS standards and Swiss planning processes
Very good German language skills spoken and written
