Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced professional as an ETH / FH architect for an architectural firm focusing on contemporary architecture, sophisticated project development, and high-quality construction planning. You will accompany diverse architectural projects from the initial design idea through project planning and building permits to execution and detailed planning. The focus is on developing architectural concepts, digital planning with ArchiCAD, coordination of specialist planners, and ensuring design and technical quality. The position combines creative design work, constructive planning, and practical project handling with diverse development opportunities in a well-coordinated architectural team.

Responsibilities:

• Participation in demanding architectural projects across all relevant SIA phases from concept development to construction realisation

• Development and further processing of architectural designs considering design, functional, economic, and sustainability requirements

• Preparation of design, project planning, and execution documents including technical plans, project presentations, and constructive drawings

• Processing of building applications and official submissions including preparation of required plan documents and coordination of building law requirements

• Development and coordination of execution and detailed plans focusing on construction, materialisation, and technical feasibility

• Digital architectural planning with ArchiCAD including 3D model processing, plan derivation, and BIM-oriented specialist coordination

• Coordination of interdisciplinary specialist planning with structural engineers, building services planners, and other specialists

• Support of project management in organising and controlling planning processes, project schedules, and quality requirements

• Technical coordination with contractors and authorities to clarify constructive issues and ensure professional project implementation

• Participation in architectural competitions and study commissions including concept development, variant studies, visualisations, and presentation documents

• Review and quality assurance of plan documents in compliance with relevant SIA standards, cantonal building regulations, and project-specific standards

• Support during the execution phase including processing plan revisions, coordinating technical details, and assisting with construction implementation

Qualifications:

• Completed architecture studies at ETH or FH or equivalent recognised higher education in architecture

• Several years of professional experience in architectural planning, ideally in Swiss architectural practice

• Solid expertise in design, project planning, and execution planning as well as in constructive detail development

• Very good user knowledge of ArchiCAD and experience with digital CAD/BIM planning methods

• Experience in coordinating specialist planners and handling complex architectural and technical planning tasks

• Knowledge of Swiss SIA phases, building regulations, and building permit procedures as well as experience with official submissions

• Good German language skills in spoken and written form for technical project coordination and planning documentation
