Automation Engineer
Are you passionate about machines and automation for producing chocolate, cocoa, coffee and nuts and want to apply your automation expertise to high-quality indulgence products? As an Automation Engineer, you develop, programme and support our machines throughout their entire life cycle. Together as a team, you ensure reliable and high-performance systems with PLC, HMI and safety solutions.
This is where you will excel
- You programme machine controls with Siemens and Rockwell as well as frequency converters from various manufacturers
- You implement the results of risk analysis in the safety software and take on programming, verification and validation according to DIN EN ISO 13849 for PLr a to e
- You review electrical schematics and contribute to design documents and functional descriptions
- You manage software versioning and the release process, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and norms such as CE and UL
- You occasionally support the service team – both on-site and remotely
These are the required skills
- Completed degree (Bachelor, Diploma or Master) in Automation
- Several years of experience in planning and commissioning Siemens and Rockwell controls including safety technology and unit tests in the digital twin, ideally in mechanical engineering for the food industry
- Experience in automating processes for more efficient and faster handling of development projects
- Confident handling of Profinet, Profisafe, Ethernet, CIP Safety, IO-Link, visualisation and drive technology as well as tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, SourceTree, Softema, Sistema, E-Plan and TeamViewer
- Good German and English skills, willingness to travel for commissioning at customer sites (approx. 10%); additional language skills are an advantage.
