Senior System Administrator / Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
In this role, you take responsibility for a stable, secure, and high-performance IT system operation within a complex infrastructure. You plan, implement, and optimise system landscapes, monitor their availability, and initiate targeted measures for fault analysis and rectification in the event of disruptions. You are responsible for the continuous development of existing systems, automate recurring processes, and ensure professional operation of servers, applications, and interfaces. Additionally, you contribute your experience to the design of system architectures and work closely with relevant stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions. Through your proactive approach, you significantly contribute to future-proofing the IT environment and ensuring high-quality standards in system operation.
Responsibilities:
- You ensure a stable, high-performance IT operation for client, server, and infrastructure environments.
- You maintain, optimise, and further develop the IT infrastructure to guarantee availability and performance.
- In this role, you analyse and sustainably resolve user and system issues in 2nd and 3rd level support.
- You manage and develop the client environment including hardware, software, and backup solutions.
- You administer and operate mobile devices and support local IT-related infrastructure such as power, climate control, and access systems.
- As a senior IT system operation specialist, you install, maintain, and operate client and production-related IT as well as conference room equipment and participate in IT projects.
Qualifications:
- Completed training as an IT specialist EFZ (system technology) or comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in operating and supporting client and server environments
- In-depth experience with complex Active Directory structures in multi-domain environments
- Proven involvement in project management and implementation of IT projects
- High sense of responsibility, strong service orientation, and hands-on mentality
- Very good German and good English skills (at least level B2)
