Security Engineer (m/f/d)
Role:
Shaping security before risks arise: We are looking for an experienced security professional who develops technical security architectures for a highly critical IT landscape and simultaneously accompanies their implementation. An ideal position for specialists who want to combine architecture, cyber defence and modern security technologies.
Responsibilities:
Development and continuous advancement of a security target architecture for a highly available and particularly sensitive IT landscape
Translating cyber risks into concrete technical security concepts and robust architectural decisions
Definition of security standards for infrastructure, endpoints, identities, networks and applications
Design and introduction of modern security controls across the entire IT lifecycle
Technical advancement of a central security platform in collaboration with cyber defence specialists
Integration and optimisation of EDR, XDR, SIEM and security monitoring solutions
Development of detection and response concepts for security-critical events
Consulting infrastructure, application and project teams on architectural decisions
Integration of security-by-design in projects and technical transformation initiatives
Conducting security assessments and evaluating new technologies regarding risks and protection requirements
Advancement of zero-trust, endpoint and identity security concepts
Analysis of attack scenarios and derivation of appropriate technical protective measures
Support during security incidents and technical investigations
Building and further development of security standards, guidelines and technical reference architectures
Accompanying lifecycle, patch and maintenance measures for central security components
Active shaping of a modern cyber security organisation and taking on new areas of responsibility
Participation in on-call models for security-critical systems
Qualifications:
Higher education in computer science, cyber security or comparable practical qualification
Several years of experience in cyber security, security engineering, security operations or security architecture
Solid practical experience with at least one of the areas EDR, XDR, SIEM or security monitoring
Very good understanding of Windows client and server
Good knowledge of Active Directory, endpoint management and network architectures
Understanding of modern attack methods, detection techniques and incident response
Experience in developing and implementing technical security concepts
Ability to communicate security requirements clearly to technical and business stakeholders
Structured, analytical and independent working style
Strong interest in new cyber security technologies and attack methods
Willingness to take responsibility for critical systems and new security topics
