Head of Finance and Accounting as well as Services (m/f/d)
Role:
For our ROCKEN partner, a pioneering company in the Swiss energy transition with a 25-member expert team and a location in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced leader for a strategic key role. You will take over the financial management of three companies within the group in Switzerland and Germany and be responsible for the entire finance and accounting function. In an agile, innovation-driven start-up environment with professional structures, you will also actively shape central services such as HR and IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
You take over the financial management of three companies in the group (Switzerland, Germany) and are responsible for the entire finance and accounting including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger and asset accounting
You monitor the use of funds and cost tracking of projects and actively support funding and financing issues
You assist with budgeting/forecasts and liquidity planning as well as with the preparation of tax returns and VAT filings (Switzerland/Germany)
You are responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements according to OR, HGB and Swiss GAAP FER in cooperation with the CFO
You ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and are the contact person for trustees, auditors and banks
You further develop the finance areas and processes in cooperation with the CFO
You manage administrative areas such as HR (including coordination of the external payroll partner) as well as IT infrastructure in collaboration with an external service provider
You support the implementation of SAP Business ByDesign (Go-Live 01.01.2027)
Qualifications:
You have a higher business education (university/fachhochschule) with a focus on finance or a diploma as an expert in accounting and controlling
You bring several years of professional and leadership experience in a comparable SME with proven practice in project management
You have deep, practical knowledge of OR, Swiss GAAP FER and HGB as well as Swiss labour, social security and ideally subsidy/funding law
You are a strong all-rounder with high self-motivation, analytical thinking and strong social skills
You communicate fluently in German and English; basic knowledge of French is desirable
You have practical experience in project or subproject management in the evaluation, migration or implementation of an ERP system
You show a basic interest in technology and enjoy understanding financial issues in the context of such projects
