Role:
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Kubernetes), you hold the reins of a modern container platform based on OpenShift and Kubernetes. Architecture, operation, and strategic further development are part of your core responsibilities. Automation is not just a buzzword for you but a fundamental principle. Your decisions carry weight and shape the working methods of entire development teams. At the same time, you mentor other engineers on their professional journey.
Responsibilities:
You define technical standards, platform architectures, and best practices and continuously develop them further.
You build scalable build, test, and release processes with CI/CD and GitOps and make them robust.
Additionally, you drive the modernisation of the entire DevOps toolchain with a focus on automation and standardisation.
You lead technically during critical disruptions and thoroughly investigate the root causes.
Furthermore, you embed security and governance requirements in the platform and evaluate new technologies for productive use.
You are also a sought-after contact person for development and IT security and support less experienced colleagues in their growth.
Qualifications:
You have at least 5 years of experience in platform engineering or a comparable DevOps environment.
You have in-depth expertise in container platforms, especially Kubernetes and OpenShift.
You use tools such as Git, ArgoCD, Tekton, or TeamCity routinely for deployments and pipelines.
You also bring know-how in monitoring, logging, and observability, for example with ELK or Sentry, and are familiar with container registries like Harbor.
You design secure and scalable architectures with a clear view of compliance requirements in the deployment environment.
Moreover, you are characterised by decisiveness, a solution-oriented mindset, and enjoyment of mentoring.
