We are looking for you as of 1 October 2026 or by arrangement as a
Social Pedagogue UMA 50-80%
Exciting tasks await:
- Social pedagogical and trauma-sensitive care and support of vulnerable, unaccompanied minor youths from the asylum sector in our accommodation with space for up to 72 youths
- Support of the youths in the integration process as well as in everyday life activities, for example cooking together, household tasks or school-related topics
- Active participation in shaping a structured and stable daily routine in the accommodation
- Building and maintaining a professional and appreciative relationship with the youths based on our concept "Strength instead of Power"
- Working in shifts with day and late shifts from Monday to Sunday between 06:30 and 22:30 as well as occasional assignments on weekends and public holidays
What you bring:
- Completed training in social pedagogy at HF or FH level; for foreign diplomas, recognition in Switzerland is required. Ideally, you have professional experience working with youths, preferably in the migration sector or in social pedagogical care
- Empathy, intercultural sensitivity, humour and a positive attitude when working with young people in challenging life situations
- An independent, solution-oriented working style as well as psychological resilience to act calmly and thoughtfully even in demanding situations
- Clarity in setting boundaries as well as competence in constructive conflict management
- Communication skills and team experience: Thanks to your flexible and straightforward manner, you pragmatically accept situations and work constructively in our large team

The Cantonal Social Service is responsible for public social assistance, asylum and refugee affairs as well as victim counselling and victim support. It is the appeals authority in the area of social assistance and supports municipalities in implementing their family and senior policies. In doing so, we work closely with other administrative offices, municipalities, other cantons, the federal government and third-party organisations.
