Senior Project Manager Client Representation (m/f/d)

Role:

On behalf of a client, we are seeking an experienced professional as Senior Project Manager Client Representation for an established company with demanding industrial, logistics and infrastructure projects. You will take on the strategic and operational client representation for complex large-scale projects and accompany these from concept development through planning and tendering to realisation, commissioning and acceptance. The focus is on multi-project management, leading interdisciplinary project teams and the technical coordination of construction, infrastructure, building and energy technology. The position combines comprehensive project responsibility with strategic client consulting, cost, schedule and quality management as well as the development of sustainable infrastructure concepts.

Responsibilities:

• Strategic client representation: Advising and representing the client in demanding industrial, logistics and infrastructure projects and ensuring the overarching project objectives

• Large project management: Independently managing complex construction and infrastructure projects from concept development and feasibility study to commissioning and handover

• Project development and organisation: Developing project strategies, feasibility analyses, project structures and decision-making bases for executive management and management

• Leading interdisciplinary project teams: Evaluating, commissioning and coordinating architects, civil engineers, specialist planners, project controllers and external construction management companies

• Planning and execution coordination: Monitoring preliminary project, construction project, tendering and execution planning and ensuring a coordinated overall technical planning

• Construction and infrastructure technology: Coordinating complex interfaces between building construction, civil engineering, building services, energy supply, technical systems and operational infrastructure

• Tendering and awarding management: Supporting planner submissions, contractor tenders, offer evaluations and contract awards in compliance with relevant SIA standards

• Cost, schedule and quality management: Monitoring investment budgets, project schedules, quality standards and project risks and initiating appropriate control measures

• Technical project controlling: Reviewing planning services, execution documents, technical specifications and contractually agreed services

• Assembly and commissioning coordination: Monitoring technical execution, assembly processes as well as functional tests, performance tests and commissioning

• Acceptance and defect management: Coordinating technical acceptances, defect recording, rectifications and project documentation until successful handover

• Technology and knowledge transfer: Evaluating and further developing construction technology, energy efficiency, sustainable building concepts and future-oriented infrastructure solutions as well as promoting internal specialist knowledge exchange

Qualifications:

• Completed degree FH, ETH, university or HF in architecture, civil engineering, building services engineering or a comparable construction-technical field

• Several years of professional experience in client representation and management of complex large-scale projects, preferably in industrial, logistics or infrastructure construction

• Sound knowledge in construction project management, project development, client consulting and project controlling according to SIA

• In-depth expertise in building construction, infrastructure, building services and energy technology as well as experience with complex technical interfaces

• Experience in tendering, contract management, investment controlling, commissioning and technical acceptance processes

• Further training in project management or infrastructure management as well as experience in the professional leadership of interdisciplinary project teams is an advantage

• Fluent German, very good French and English skills are an advantage
