About the job
What would you do if you had to shower ice-cold for the third morning in a row? Exactly. Eventually, you explode. First internally, then probably on the phone with the heating service. But the matter is actually quite simple: A heating system should heat. Warm water should be warm. And when the technology fails, you need someone who doesn’t just look but solves the problem. That’s exactly the kind of people we are looking for.
For an established company in heating technology, we are looking immediately or by arrangement for an experienced
Service Technician for Heat Pumps, Oil and Gas Heating Systems 100% (Permanent Position) - Showered Cold Three Times. Things are getting uncomfortable...
Your daily work
- Sometimes it’s a heat pump that doesn’t quite get going. Then an oil heating system that has stopped working, or a gas boiler whose error code raises more questions than answers. You take care of it and know how
- Your technical instinct is in demand. Commissioning systems, performing maintenance, systematically narrowing down faults and sustainably fixing errors are part of the daily routine. Not just tinkering with symptoms, but recognising causes and finding solutions
- In doing so, you are largely your own master. With a well-equipped service vehicle, you start directly from your place of residence to customers in Northwestern Switzerland. The assignments are digitally documented while a competent internal service team supports you organisationally
- And because heating systems notoriously don’t keep a calendar, on-call duty is also part of the job after thorough training
What you bring
- A solid technical vocational training forms the foundation. Whether heating installer, refrigeration system mechanic, electrical installer, automotive mechatronics technician or a related technical profession: What matters is that you understand connections, recognise faults and handle tools as confidently as sophisticated technology
- Service experience would be excellent. Even more important, however, are an independent working style, analytical thinking and the willingness to engage with new technologies
- A particular plus is practical knowledge of heating systems from Dimplex and Weishaupt. Those already familiar with these two brands have a real advantage. Those who have the technical skills and want to learn are also welcome
- You should enjoy customer contact. Because sometimes the art is not only to repair a heating system but to explain understandably to an upset person why it failed in the first place
- A category B driving licence is required.
What do you get in return? Definitely more than warm words!
- An excellently equipped service vehicle, professional tools, modern measuring devices as well as a tablet and smartphone are a matter of course. Also thorough training, professional support and a collegial environment with short decision-making paths
- Regular further training in heat pump technology as well as oil and gas firing systems keeps your expertise up to date. You work with high-quality products, enjoy a lot of personal responsibility and can look forward to performance-based pay with attractive social benefits
- Above all, you can expect a role where your skills are in demand and your work has an immediate impact
Interested? Then I look forward to your application. Questions? Just give me a call.
