CONSTRUCTION MANAGER BUILDING CONSTRUCTION (m/f/d)

Role:

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced individual as Construction Manager Building Construction for the independent realisation of demanding construction projects in the Solothurn region. You will take operational responsibility on site and coordinate contractors, specialist planners and clients with a consistent focus on costs, deadlines and execution quality. In addition to classic construction management, you will actively participate in tendering, awarding, execution details and optimisation of construction processes. You will work in a modern architectural environment with digital planning and project processes and accompany the projects from execution preparation to successful handover.

Responsibilities:

• Independent management and coordination of building construction sites from execution preparation to acceptance and handover

• Control and coordination of contractors, trades and specialist planners as well as ensuring efficient construction processes

• Responsibility for schedule, cost and quality control and early initiation of appropriate measures in case of deviations

• Creation and ongoing monitoring of construction programmes, schedules and execution processes

• Conducting tendering and submissions including offer comparison, award preparation and contractor discussions

• Checking execution, work and detail plans regarding feasibility, interfaces and compliance with project specifications

• Leading construction meetings, preparing minutes and coordinating between client, planning and execution

• Monitoring construction costs, change orders, quantities and contractor invoices as well as supporting ongoing cost controlling

• Ensuring professional execution according to SIA standards, NPK, BKP/eBKP and project-specific quality requirements

• Organising and conducting acceptances, defect recording and defect management including control of timely rectification

• Maintaining a structured site and project documentation with modern digital construction administration and collaboration tools

• Contributing to the optimisation of execution details, construction processes and digital workflows

Qualifications:

• Training as a certified construction manager, HF technician in construction planning, FH/ETH architect or EFZ draughtsman specialising in architecture with appropriate further training or professional experience

• Several years of professional experience in construction management in Swiss building construction

• Sound knowledge in cost control, scheduling, tendering, awarding and contractor coordination

• Good knowledge of Swiss construction practice as well as relevant SIA standards, NPK and BKP/eBKP

• Experience in assessing and coordinating execution and construction details

• Confident handling of digital construction administration, MS Office and modern project/collaboration tools

• Very good German language skills spoken and written
