Role:

Do you want to design cloud architectures rather than just process tickets? Here, as a Senior Microsoft 365 & Azure Engineer, you are responsible for the transition from grown on-premises landscapes to a fully automated Microsoft cloud. With deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365, you set technical guardrails for platform, identity, and modern workplace. You consider security and scalability from the outset. Your opinion carries weight when it comes to architectural decisions.

Responsibilities:

• You design secure and scalable cloud architectures and define Azure landing zones including management, subscription, and governance structures.

• In transition and transformation projects, you take technical responsibility from conception to implementation.

• You automate deployments with Bicep and PowerShell, develop reusable modules, and create standardised infrastructure-as-code patterns.

• Furthermore, you build identity, endpoint, and security architectures around Entra ID, Conditional Access, RBAC, and Microsoft Intune.

• You plan Azure networking with virtual networks, private endpoints, VPN, and hybrid connections and integrate it together with network specialists into the existing firewall environment.

• Additionally, you review existing Azure environments regarding costs and compliance, analyse complex error patterns across all layers, and test new technologies including AI in proofs of concept.

Qualifications:

• Several years of solid practical experience in architecture and engineering of Azure and Microsoft 365 environments form your foundation, ideally including larger migration projects.

• You know Azure networking in detail, from peering and routing to private DNS, and bring solid knowledge of network security. Experience with Fortinet is welcome.

• Infrastructure as code is your craft. You implement modular deployment structures and sophisticated PowerShell automations routinely.

• Additionally, you have solid knowledge in identity and access management with Entra ID, MFA, enterprise applications, and app registrations as well as in endpoint security and device compliance.

• You translate zero-trust approaches into concrete architectures and make clear decisions even with complex dependencies between cloud, network, and endpoints.

• Moreover, you work in a structured and independent manner and enjoy sharing your knowledge within the team. Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Security Engineer Associate strengthen your profile.
