Data Scientist / Application Analyst Epic Cogito (Business Intelligence)

The Insel Group aims to take a pioneering role in digital medicine: With the system from the American software manufacturer Epic, the Insel Group operates a fully integrated clinical information system that digitally connects all locations, professional groups, and clinics. We are looking for reinforcement for our team to support and further develop the analytics and reporting solutions in the Epic Cogito module. In doing so, you will work closely with other Epic teams as well as various stakeholders from clinical and administrative operations and make an important contribution to data-based decision-making.

What to expect

• You develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualisations using the analytics and reporting tools of Epic Cogito
• You capture and analyse requirements from clinical and administrative departments and implement them in suitable reporting solutions
• You create complex data queries and evaluations with SQL and prepare information as needed
• You support users in clinics in independently creating evaluations (self-service reporting)
• You test and implement new functions and adjustments as part of Epic release changes
• You work closely with other Epic teams and departments

What you bring

• You have a degree in computer science, medical informatics, data science, or a comparable qualification
• You have good SQL skills (MS SQL Server) and enjoy analysing and preparing complex data
• You are characterised by a quick grasp and analytical thinking
• You have a structured, independent working style and are motivated to obtain the necessary Epic certifications as soon as possible
• You are interested in clinical and administrative processes; experience in healthcare or hospital operations is an advantage
• You communicate confidently in German and English and enjoy working with different professional groups
