Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced individual as a project manager in architecture FH/ETH for a demanding and versatile environment in building construction. You will take overall responsibility for architectural projects from conception and design through tendering and execution planning to completion. The focus is on project management according to SIA, controlling costs, deadlines and quality, as well as coordinating clients, specialist planners, authorities and contractors. The position combines architectural design, technical detailed planning and entrepreneurial project responsibility with the professional leadership of interdisciplinary planning teams.

Responsibilities:

• Overall project management architecture: Independently managing demanding building construction projects from preliminary study to completion and handover

• Project execution according to SIA: Steering and coordinating project phases according to SIA 112 considering quality, costs and deadlines

• Design and project planning: Developing architectural concepts, functional spatial solutions and technically well thought-out building structures

• Execution and detailed planning: Responsible for constructive elaboration and ensuring high-quality working and execution planning

• Cost planning and cost control: Preparing and monitoring cost estimates, cost quotations and project budgets according to BKP

• Tendering and awarding: Coordinating specifications, bills of quantities, offer comparisons and award proposals according to SIA 118

• Coordination of specialist planners: Leading and coordinating architecture teams, structural engineers, building services planners and other project participants

• Client consulting: Supporting clients throughout all project phases and preparing decision-making bases and project reports

• Authorities and approval procedures: Coordinating building applications, official clarifications and required certificates

• Construction administration: Monitoring project costs, contracts, amendments and invoicing processes, ideally with DELTAproject

• Implementation support: Aligning planning with site management, checking execution quality and accompanying inspections and project handovers

• Project controlling and team leadership: Monitoring project progress, resources and milestones as well as professionally leading the involved project teams

Qualifications:

• Completed architecture studies FH or ETH or equivalent recognised university degree

• At least five years of professional experience in a Swiss architectural office, preferably with independent project management responsibility

• Sound knowledge of Swiss SIA standards, especially SIA 112, SIA 118 as well as relevant planning and construction processes

• In-depth experience in cost planning, tendering, awarding and execution planning of building construction projects

• Knowledge in construction administration and cost control, ideally with DELTAproject

• Experience in professional leadership of project teams as well as coordination of specialist planners, authorities and contractors

• Very good German skills for client support, contract management and technical project execution
