About the job
Software Developer - Specialist in Geoinformation (a)
70% - 100% | Lucerne | Home office possible
Help shape the cantonal geoportal - from conception to sustainable operation. You will drive forward our metadata application, support departments in digitalisation and think consistently in processes, not just features.
Your tasks
- As part of a committed, interdisciplinary team, you actively participate in the planning, conception and realisation of applications for the cantonal geoportal.
- You advance our central metadata application (eCH-0271): you further develop it, cleverly integrate it with our data logistics and ensure a user-friendly interface.
- You support cantonal departments in WebGIS projects and the digitalisation of administrative processes - your expertise makes the difference.
- You think not only in features but in processes: from requirement discussions through conception and development to sustainable operation, you cover the entire value chain.
- Whether planning, implementation or operation - with us you actively shape the further development of our WebGIS infrastructure: from applications and interfaces to the underlying technologies and services.
Your profile
- You have a university degree (Uni/ETH/FH) in computer science, geoinformatics, geomatics or a comparable education in software development.
- You have solid experience in software conception and development with JavaScript, TypeScript, React and Ruby on Rails.
- You have experience in WebGIS development and ideally know Esri products (ArcGIS Maps SDKs, ArcGIS Enterprise).
- You think in processes and develop solutions that are modular, reusable and sustainable in operation - well documented and implemented sustainably.
- You tackle tasks independently, act service-oriented and appreciate teamwork.
- Trying out new technologies, keeping an eye on trends and developing yourself - that is exactly what excites you.
