Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced individual as Project Manager Building Construction for the overall entrepreneurial responsibility of demanding construction projects up to turnkey handover. You manage projects holistically and are particularly responsible for tendering, awarding, costs, deadlines, quality and project accounting. You lead interdisciplinary project teams and coordinate clients, specialist planners, contractors and authorities. The position is situated in a professional full-service environment with demanding private and public building construction projects.
Responsibilities:
Assuming overall entrepreneurial responsibility for building construction projects from project takeover to turnkey handover
Independent project management regarding costs, deadlines, quality, resources and economic efficiency
Execution and coordination of tendering, submissions and awarding for subcontractor and sub-planner services
Responsibility for cost control, project budget, accounting and post-calculation as well as ongoing monitoring of project profitability
Organisation, leadership and coordination of interdisciplinary project teams across various planning and implementation phases
Management and coordination of specialist planners, contractors and other project participants as well as ensuring functioning interfaces
Central contact person for the client and coordination of project-relevant agreements with authorities and external partners
Collaboration with costing and project development for the technical and economic optimisation of projects
Monitoring of execution quality, scheduling and service delivery during the implementation phase
Conducting structured project controlling and reporting including target-actual comparisons, forecasts and control of measures
Support of acceptances, defect management, documentation and project completion up to handover to the client
Ensuring compliance with relevant SIA standards, contracts and Swiss construction regulations
Qualifications:
Degree as certified construction manager, HF technician in building construction, FH/ETH architect or FH/ETH civil engineer
Several years of project management experience in Swiss building construction, ideally in full-service, general or total contractor projects
Sound knowledge in tendering, awarding, cost management, scheduling and project controlling
Experience in leading interdisciplinary project teams and coordinating external specialist planners and contractors
Good knowledge of relevant SIA standards, contract basics and Swiss construction processes
Experience with common construction administration, costing and project management systems
