Enterprise-level network security means far more than firewall administration. In this role, you actively shape a global security landscape - from secure connectivity through segmentation and cloud connections to technical architecture. At the same time, you stay close to practice and solve demanding issues directly in the infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Security Engineering & Connectivity
You develop and operate global network security solutions and protect critical infrastructures from current cybersecurity threats.
You are responsible for firewalls, VPN, IPSec, network segmentation and secure connectivity and continuously develop these services.
You integrate security solutions into existing LAN, WLAN, ISP and data centre environments.
Architecture & Development
You analyse technical requirements and translate them into scalable and secure network architectures.
You optimise existing security environments in terms of performance, availability and reliability.
You ensure compliance with global architecture and security guidelines.
You actively contribute to the further development of cloud connectivity and security architecture.
Support & Projects
You take on demanding 2nd and 3rd level support cases and conduct systematic troubleshooting.
You participate in international network security projects or take on their technical management.
You accompany lifecycle topics of infrastructure and services and ensure sustainable further development of the environment.
Qualifications:
You have a bachelor's/HF degree in computer engineering, computer science, information technology or a comparable technical education.
You bring at least 7 years of experience in enterprise network or network security engineering.
You have very good knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls, VPN, IPSec and network segmentation.
You are familiar with IDPS, NAC, cloud network security and wireless security and can apply these technologies practically.
You have experience with Cisco and Huawei LAN/WLAN.
You understand the technical contexts in data centre and ISP environments, especially routing, switching, MPLS, BGP and load balancing.
You are confident with central infrastructure services such as DNS, DHCP and IP.
You have already architecturally planned, implemented and further developed complex network security solutions.
You have strong practical experience with network security monitoring and troubleshooting.
You work analytically, solution-oriented and structured even with complex technical challenges.
You speak fluent German and have very good English skills, both spoken and written.
You communicate confidently and professionally with international teams and various stakeholders.
