Role:

As a Workplace & Cloud Platform Engineer, you actively shape the transition from classic on-premises infrastructures to the Microsoft Cloud. The focus is on Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 (M365), and a modern workplace that functions securely and reliably. Technical depth is just as important here as the view of the big picture. With Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and thoughtful automation, you create standards that others can rely on. Responsibility and short decision-making paths characterise your daily work.

Responsibilities:

• You plan cloud migration projects and implement them in a structured manner, from analysis to stable operation.

• You further develop existing platforms and standardise them through targeted refactorings. For this, you write reusable Bicep templates.

• Furthermore, you configure Entra ID with Conditional Access, MFA, and Enterprise Applications and technically implement security and governance requirements.

• You are responsible for device management with Intune, including enrolment, compliance, and endpoint security.

• In addition, you design virtual networks, NSGs, and hybrid connections and coordinate firewall and VPN issues with the network team.

• You also automate operational processes with PowerShell and AI and systematically investigate complex disruptions related to identity, endpoint, and network.

Qualifications:

• You have at least 3 years of solid experience in the Microsoft Cloud and have already accompanied transformations of local environments.

• You are familiar with compute, networking, and central platform services in Azure, as well as DNS and routing.

• Declarative code and scripting come easily to you, and you also enjoy automating M365 processes.

• You have practical experience with access concepts such as RBAC as well as cloud security and governance. Knowledge of firewalls, ideally Fortinet, rounds off your expertise.

• You work in a structured manner, communicate clearly, and tackle problems with curiosity and perseverance.

• Additionally, you communicate confidently in German and read English technical literature with ease. Microsoft certifications in cloud, security, or identity are a clear advantage.
