About the job
Workload: 80-100%, Baden
We are looking for a committed and dynamic individual to drive the digital transformation in the energy sector together with us. In this exciting role, you will lay the foundations for data-driven decisions and AI-supported automations.
Tasks & Responsibilities
You will be significantly involved in implementing the division's data strategy and shaping how we handle data. You are responsible for the Grid data on Axpo's company-wide data platform.
You organise the "Data Community Grid" and support the further development of the division into a data-driven organisation. You will become the first point of contact for data-related questions in the division.
You define and monitor data quality rules and initiate corrections with the data owners.
You identify data-related use cases where the use of the data platform creates added value. Specifically, you analyse and visualise asset, SCADA, and project data.
You implement smaller data projects independently and work closely with internal (e.g. IT, software development) and external partners (e.g. universities, start-ups). Where necessary, you also provide hands-on support in the planning and installation of IoT sensors on our assets.
Profile & Requirements
Completed studies in engineering or a comparable qualification. A degree in electrical engineering is an advantage.
At least 5 years of professional experience in data/analytics and experience in project management and stakeholder management.
Very good programming skills (e.g. Python, PySpark, SQL, PowerBI) and experience with data platforms (e.g. Databricks).
Experience with IoT, system architectures, and visualisation of live data is an advantage.
Experience in physical asset management and operation of power grids is an advantage.
Knowledge of the energy sector and interest in new technological developments.
Good German and English skills, both spoken and written.
About the Team
The responsibility for digitalisation & innovation of the Grid division lies, together with technical and financial planning as well as asset analysis, within the Strategic Asset Management of the Distribution (Grid) division. We work and think interdisciplinarily and offer you a challenging and varied role in a dynamic environment. If you want to be at the forefront of the digital transformation in the energy sector, contribute your own ideas, and love implementing innovative projects, we look forward to receiving your application.
