About the job

Our client, a public administration in Central Switzerland, is looking to strengthen an interdisciplinary team with a software developer specialising in geoinformation. In this role, you will help shape a modern geoportal, from conception to sustainable operation. You will further develop a central metadata application, support specialist departments with WebGIS projects and the digitalisation of administrative processes, and consistently think in terms of processes rather than just features. The workplace is in Lucerne, with the possibility of home office.

Your Tasks

In a committed, interdisciplinary team, you plan, design and implement applications for our client’s geoportal.
You further develop the central metadata application according to the eCH-0271 standard, integrate it with the existing data logistics and ensure a user-friendly interface.
You support various specialist departments in WebGIS projects and contribute your expertise to the digitalisation of administrative processes.
You cover the entire value chain: from requirements gathering through conception and software development to stable, long-term operation.
You actively drive the further development of the WebGIS infrastructure, including applications, interfaces, services and the underlying technologies.

Our Requirements

University degree (Uni/ETH/FH) in computer science, geoinformatics, geomatics or a comparable education in software development
Solid experience in software conception and development with JavaScript, TypeScript, React and Ruby on Rails
Experience in WebGIS development, ideally with Esri products such as ArcGIS Maps SDKs and ArcGIS Enterprise
Process-oriented thinking and a flair for modular, reusable and well-documented solutions that are maintainable in the long term
Independent, service-oriented working style and enjoyment of teamwork
Curiosity about new technologies and trends as well as the motivation to continuously develop yourself
