Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced professional for project management, planning and realisation of demanding architectural and building projects in an established Swiss architectural environment. You will take responsibility for new build and conversion projects from concept development through design to execution planning and handover to the client. The focus is on architectural design, constructive detail planning, management of external specialist planners as well as control of costs, deadlines and quality. The position combines independent project responsibility with tenders, contract management and close collaboration with the internal construction execution.

Responsibilities:

• Independent management and coordination of demanding architectural projects through the relevant SIA phases from concept development to realisation

• Development and elaboration of architectural designs, usage concepts and project studies for new build and conversion projects

• Responsibility for design as well as work, execution and detail planning taking into account design, technical and economic requirements

• Professional leadership and coordination of external specialist planners and experts from structural engineering, building services and other disciplines

• Monitoring and control of project budgets, schedules and quality requirements including cost control, milestone planning and project controlling

• Preparation and review of tender documents, specifications and invitations to tender as well as conducting offer comparisons and award preparations

• Preparation and coordination of contract documents taking into account SIA 118 and relevant Swiss building standards

• Development and review of constructive detail solutions as well as coordination of building construction, materialisation and technical interfaces

• Coordination with clients, authorities, architects, specialist planners and executing companies as well as leading project and planning meetings

• Close cooperation with the internal execution department to ensure economical, technically flawless and quality-compliant implementation

• Quality assurance of construction project, work and execution plans regarding compliance with standards, completeness and feasibility

• Technical support of construction execution and project handover including execution clarifications, plan adjustments, construction approvals and defect management

Qualifications:

• Completed architecture studies ETH/FH (Bachelor or Master) or training as a technician HF construction planning with corresponding professional experience

• Several years of professional experience in architectural project management, especially in design, work and execution planning

• Sound knowledge of Swiss SIA standards and building regulations, especially SIA 118, as well as relevant planning and construction processes

• Experience in professional leadership and coordination of interdisciplinary specialist planner teams as well as collaboration with executing companies

• In-depth knowledge of building construction, detail planning, tenders, contract management and cost management

• Confident handling of common CAD, construction administration and project management programmes as well as Microsoft Office

• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form for project reports, tenders, contract documents and client meetings
