Role:
As a System Engineer Server & Storage, you design sophisticated server, storage, backup, and virtualisation solutions – from conception to stable operation. You confidently navigate between local concepts, highly available mirroring scenarios in distributed data centres, and cloud solutions in a business cloud or Microsoft Azure. After familiarisation, you take responsibility for your customers’ infrastructure, drive project business forward, and continuously develop existing and new solutions. You also contribute your expertise in pre-sales and support sales with technical foresight.
Responsibilities:
You design, implement, and maintain complex server, storage, backup, and virtualisation solutions
After the familiarisation phase, you take responsibility for customers’ IT infrastructure solutions
You implement solutions from local single-room concepts to highly available mirroring in distributed data centres to cloud outsourcing (business cloud, Microsoft Azure)
You drive classic project business forward and jointly develop existing and new infrastructure solutions within the team
You also support sales in the pre-sales phase with well-founded technical advice
Qualifications:
You have a completed university degree or training as an IT specialist in system integration
You bring practical experience in one or more areas: server and storage solutions, virtualisation with VMware and Hyper-V, backup, or Microsoft Azure
You have worked with products from Lenovo, IBM, DELL EMC, NetApp, Nutanix, Rubrik, Veeam, VMware, or comparable technologies
You work methodically, analytically, independently, and solution-oriented
You are regionally willing to travel and have very good German skills
You are characterised by customer orientation, communication skills, and organisational talent
