Assistant Accountant 40-80% (m/f/d)

Your mission:

Financial Accounting & Reporting:

• Accurate recording and posting of expenses and supplier invoices in ABACUS
• Creation of payment runs in online banking
• Quarterly reconciliation of company accounts and preparation of quarterly financial statements
• Monitoring VAT flows (input/output tax) and preparation of quarterly VAT returns
• Preparation of annual financial statements and provision of all documents for external auditors
• Monitoring employees’ time tracking and preparation of working time reports

Personnel & Payroll Administration:

• Monthly preparation of payroll and generation of payment files via ABACUS
• Registration and deregistration as well as administration in coordination with BVG pension funds and AHV offices
• Calculation and reporting of withholding tax to the respective cantons
• Review, approval, and posting of expense reports (e.g. employees’ travel expenses)

General Support:

• Assumption of further organisational and administrative tasks to support management as needed

You bring the following:

• Commercial training and further education in accounting
• Initial experience in accounting and payroll processing
• Very good German language skills
• Good English skills (English is the company language)
• Good user knowledge of online-based accounting tools (ABACUS desirable), including expense reporting and time tracking tools
