Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer & Technical Project Manager (m/f/d)

You bring extensive experience in system engineering and want to manage projects and actively advise customers alongside technical tasks? In this position, you develop IT infrastructures for SMEs and support solutions in the areas of cloud, Microsoft technologies, networks, security and data backup. You take responsibility for the technical quality and reliable operation of the systems.
You accompany customer projects from the initial analysis to implementation and support the development of new business opportunities. Through your consulting skills and understanding of operational requirements, you contribute to implementing sustainable IT solutions and building long-term customer relationships.
Responsibilities:
Design, implementation and operation of IT infrastructures for small and medium-sized enterprises
Administration and optimisation of Microsoft 365 and Azure environments as well as Windows Server, virtualisation, network and backup
Handling complex technical tasks in 2nd and 3rd level support
Planning and management of infrastructure projects including analysis, implementation and handover
Advising customers on technical requirements and developing suitable IT solutions
Participation in offers, customer presentations and acquisition of new projects
Qualifications:
IT training with a focus on platform development or system technology; higher vocational or university degree or corresponding willingness to further train is an advantage
Several years of professional experience in system engineering, preferably with an IT service provider for SMEs
Very good knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, virtualisation, network, cyber security and backup/recovery
Experience in project management or willingness to take on this responsibility
Customer-oriented manner, communication skills and enjoyment of consulting
Independent and solution-oriented working style as well as entrepreneurial thinking
Willingness for on-call duty; relevant Microsoft, Fortinet, Veeam or VMware certifications are a plus
Good German language skills
