Job Description
Integrated within our Heritage department and under the responsibility of our Conservator of Know-How, your main mission will be to restore historical watches of the brand’s clients as well as pieces from the Heritage collection to their original condition. In this context, your main responsibilities will be to:
- Restore vintage watches and Heritage pieces to their original condition, both functionally and aesthetically
- Prepare estimates and carry out the creation or restoration of tools and components necessary for the refurbishment of vintage timepieces
- Prepare Heritage pieces intended for exhibitions
- Present the workshop, historical watchmaking know-how and restoration techniques to visitors of the Museum and during events in Switzerland or abroad
- Document restoration processes, operational sequences and best practices to ensure knowledge transfer
- Transmit technical knowledge within the workshop and support apprentices or interns
Qualifications
- Holder of a Higher Technician Diploma (ES) in Microtechnology, specialising in restoration and watch complications, or an equivalent qualification, with significant experience in this field
- Passionate about your profession, demonstrating great dexterity and creativity
- Autonomous and rigorous, with good problem analysis and solution-seeking skills
- Strong team spirit, calm and attentive by nature
- Your sense of excellence enables you to work on very high-end watches
- Finally, you have good knowledge of English (including technical) and are proficient with the Office suite
