Project Manager Heating/Cooling (m/f/d)

Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced professional as Project Manager Heating and Cooling for an established Swiss building services engineering office specialising in HVAC planning, industrial building services, and energy-efficient heating and cooling supply. You will independently plan, design, and implement demanding heating and cooling systems for industrial buildings, district heating networks, office complexes, residential developments, and public buildings. The focus is on technical project management, 2D/3D CAD planning with Trimble Nova, tendering, as well as spatial and technical coordination. You will be responsible for the quality, cost, and timely execution of medium to large building services projects and will accompany these until successful commissioning and handover.

Responsibilities:

• Project management heating and cooling: Independently lead and coordinate medium to large HVAC projects in industrial, commercial, residential, and public buildings

• Heating and cooling planning: Design and dimension heat generation systems, cooling systems, heat and cooling distribution, and hydraulic systems

• Planning of district heating networks: Handle heat supply and district heating projects including energy centres, distribution networks, and technical connection systems

• Building services planning according to SIA: Responsible for specialist planning across relevant SIA phases 31-53, from preliminary design to realisation and commissioning

• CAD and 3D specialist planning: Create and coordinate 2D/3D building services plans, system schematics, and digital specialist models, preferably with Trimble Nova

• Technical calculations and dimensioning: Perform heating load, cooling load, pipe network, and hydraulic calculations as well as design system components

• Tenders and bidding: Prepare specifications, technical requirements, tender documents, and bid comparisons

• Spatial and technical coordination: Coordinate heating and cooling planning with ventilation, sanitary, electrical, building automation, architecture, and structural planning

• Site supervision building services: Accompany and monitor the installation and assembly of heating and cooling systems and check proper execution

• Cost, schedule, and quality management: Monitor project budgets, plan delivery dates, execution quality, and technical project requirements

• Commissioning and system handover: Coordinate functional tests, hydraulic balancing, commissioning, acceptance, and technical handovers

• Technical project documentation: Prepare and review calculation reports, plan documents, revision plans, system documentation, and project completion documents

Qualifications:

• Completed vocational training as a building services planner heating EFZ with further education as a technician HF building services, HVAC engineer FH, or a comparable higher technical qualification

• Several years of professional experience in planning and site supervision of heating and cooling systems, preferably in a Swiss building services engineering office

• Sound knowledge of heating and cooling technology, hydraulic systems, heat distribution, and energy-efficient system planning

• Knowledge of relevant Swiss SIA standards and building services guidelines, especially SIA 384/1, SIA 384/2, and SIA 382/1, as applicable to the respective systems

• Very good user knowledge of 2D/3D CAD programmes, preferably Trimble Nova, as well as experience with digital specialist coordination and BIM planning methods

• Experience in project management, tendering, cost control, and technical coordination as well as collaboration with clients, specialist planners, and contractors

• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form for independent project execution, technical documentation, and communication with all project participants
