In this responsible role as Senior Network Engineer, you will take on the planning, further development, and operation of international network infrastructures. You design modern, secure, and highly available communication networks and work closely with internal IT teams as well as external service providers. You are responsible for implementing network projects and ensuring high availability and security of the network infrastructure. Your goal is to develop and implement innovative solutions to keep communication networks up to date. You bring your experience and knowledge to continuously improve the network infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
You develop scalable network architectures for international IP infrastructures.
You design secure solutions for routing, switching, WLAN, WAN, and firewalling.
You plan and implement worldwide network rollouts including technical migrations.
You handle demanding 3rd-level cases and analyse complex connectivity issues.
You optimise provider connections, monitoring, and lab environments and document technical standards.
Qualifications:
You have an IT education at EFZ, HF, or FH level or a comparable qualification.
You bring several years of experience as a Senior Network Engineer or Network Architect.
You master routing and switching as well as technologies such as OSPF, VRF, HSRP, STP, VLAN, NAT, and VPN.
You are familiar with Cisco, Meraki, or Nokia environments as well as firewall, proxy, LTE, and QoS technologies.
You work independently, analytically, and solution-oriented and communicate very well in German and English.
