HSSE Safety Manager

For our client active in the chemical sector and based in the Riviera region, we are looking for their future HSSE technical and safety manager. In this role, you are the safety coordinator for various production sites located throughout Switzerland. This is a permanent position. French language is mandatory, German language is a plus. Completed training in the field of safety is mandatory.

Safety Coordinator

• Implements and develops the occupational safety process
• Conducts risk analyses and defines measures
• Supports the operations manager in the implementation of work
• Ensures compliance with defined safety rules and measures
• Accompanies various audits and ensures follow-up
• Maintains the continuous improvement process and HSSE reporting
• Calls on external specialists as needed

Project Implementation

• Participates in project meetings and prepares minutes
• Supports preliminary studies where applicable as well as tenders and supplier evaluations
• Prepares documentation for decision-making
• Coordinates project implementation with various stakeholders
• Ensures budget monitoring and prepares final accounts

Maintenance

• Develops and operates the CMMS system
• Coordinates interventions in collaboration with the operations manager
• Ensures the updating of technical documentation

Training

• Keeps the training plan up to date
• Organises internal and external training

• Implements and develops the occupational safety process

The "Technical and Safety Manager" has access to all information necessary for the fulfilment of their tasks. They have decision-making power regarding the purchase of equipment and the choice of suppliers within the scope of their responsibilities and within the limits of the allocated operating budget. In the context of project implementation, they are a driving force for proposals, with decisions made by hierarchical superiors. They are authorised to take or order emergency measures.
