BIM Designer: (m/f/d)

Role:
On behalf of a client, we are looking for a specialist as a BIM Designer Structural Engineering for the model-based processing of demanding building and infrastructure projects. You create and edit 3D/BIM building and excavation pit models and thus provide important foundations for structural calculations, cost determinations, tenders and execution. A particular focus is on deriving formwork, reinforcement and excavation pit plans from digital models. The position combines classic structural civil engineering with modern BIM and 3D planning methods.
Responsibilities:
Building and infrastructure construction
Modelling of excavation pits and excavation pit supports as a basis for planning, dimensioning and execution
Supporting the civil engineer in creating and further developing structural and construction models
Deriving and processing formwork, reinforcement and excavation pit plans from the digital specialist models
Creating planning bases for structural calculations, quantity surveys and cost determinations
Preparing models and plans for submissions, tenders and execution documents
Using Allplan and other digital tools for model-based engineering planning
Modelling structural components made of reinforced concrete taking into account the specifications from structural design and statics
Coordinating planning and model interfaces within interdisciplinary project teams
Conducting model and plan checks regarding completeness, consistency and constructive feasibility
Updating BIM models and execution plans according to project changes and technical specifications
Contributing to the further development of BIM standards, modelling guidelines and digital planning processes
Qualifications:
Completed basic training as a draftsperson EFZ specialising in structural engineering
Experience in 3D design and model-based engineering planning, ideally in building or infrastructure construction
Good knowledge of Allplan or comparable BIM/CAD software
Knowledge in creating formwork, reinforcement and construction plans
Basic knowledge in reinforced concrete construction, structural design and excavation pit planning
Experience with BIM models and digital planning processes is an advantage
Good German language skills for technical documentation and project work
