Open-source platforms, containers, and cloud resources come together in this role. You move confidently between web servers, certificates, databases, and backups. You automate deployments instead of repeating them manually. Security topics such as SSO, permissions, and patching are part of your basic toolkit. In addition, you manage classic server and virtualisation environments.
Responsibilities:
You operate and develop Linux and Docker platforms including web servers, DNS, certificates, databases, and backups
You are responsible for the operation, further development, and support of web and specialised applications including updates, multisite environments, and SAML integrations
You automate build, test, and deployment processes and help shape the platform architecture
You increase security and operational stability through login, SSO, permission, patch, and recovery solutions
You operate server and virtualisation environments including storage and NAS systems
Additionally, you manage cloud resources as well as hybrid environments and coordinate patch and security measures
Qualifications:
You have a degree in computer science with a focus on software engineering and DevOps experience or a comparable qualification
You bring at least 5 years of experience with web servers, DNS, TLS certificates, load balancing, clustering, databases, and backups
You know Linux and Docker very well and work confidently with CI/CD
You understand IT security, SSO, identity management, and permission concepts
You have solid knowledge of Windows Server, virtualisation, or Microsoft cloud services
Knowledge of Kubernetes, monitoring, logging, or zero-trust approaches is a plus; you are proficient in German and English
