As a Senior Virtualisation & Cloud Engineer, you are responsible for the conception, implementation, and further development of modern virtualisation and cloud infrastructures. You analyse existing platforms, develop optimisation and modernisation concepts, and take on demanding 3rd-level support tasks. Additionally, you accompany customer projects from conception to commissioning, conduct technical workshops, and support sales in presales activities. You also contribute your know-how in the evaluation of new technologies and the further development of infrastructure-
Responsibilities:
Consulting, conception, design, and implementation of virtualisation and cloud infrastructures
Analysis and optimisation of existing virtualisation platforms
3rd-level support as well as fault analysis and sustainable troubleshooting
Planning and execution of customer projects
Conducting workshops, training sessions, and knowledge transfer
Support in presales, solution designs, and effort estimations
Creation of technical documentation
Evaluation of new technologies
Qualifications:
Several years of experience with VMware, KVM, or comparable virtualisation platforms
Very good knowledge of the Microsoft environment, especially Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP
Good knowledge of networking and storage
Experience with enterprise infrastructures and hybrid cloud environments is an advantage
Knowledge of Omnissa Horizon / Workspace ONE as well as HPE VME / Morpheus is an advantage
Analytical, independent, and solution-oriented working style
Enjoyment of customer contact and technical workshops
Very good German and good English skills
