The Réseau Santé Balcon du Jura (RSBJ) is a major health player in the northern Vaud region. Based in Sainte-Croix, it brings together nearly 320 employees within a local hospital, a nursing home, a medico-social support structure (CAT and LADA), as well as 2 medical practices.

Our mission is clear: to provide the population with access to quality, humane, and coordinated care, while developing innovative models that address the challenges of ageing, chronic diseases, and the evolution of the healthcare system.

As part of its development, the RSBJ is seeking its:

Chief Executive Officer

A member of the Executive Committee, alongside the Medical Director and the Director of Nursing, you carry the institution’s strategic vision and ensure its overall management.

You lead the necessary transformations for the evolution of the RSBJ, in a demanding environment where excellence in care, economic balance, innovation, and proximity come together.

You develop trusting relationships with cantonal authorities, health network partners, and teams, in a spirit of dialogue, responsibility, and cooperation.

The challenges awaiting you:

Deploy the institutional strategy and support organisational transformations

Work towards improving economic efficiency while preserving the quality of services

Strengthen collaborations with partners in the Vaud healthcare system

Develop integrated care and health pathways that meet the population’s needs

Support a managerial culture based on trust, responsibility, innovation, and continuous improvement

Contribute to the reputation of an establishment recognised for its services to the population of the Balcon du Jura and surrounding areas

Ensure responsibility and management of the institution’s transversal services, including Technical and Logistics Services, Hospitality and Housekeeping, Catering, Quality, Information Systems, Central Store, and HPCI, representing a team of about 48 employees.

Your profile:

You have solid leadership experience in the healthcare sector and know how to combine strategic vision, leadership, and execution capability.

You hold:

• a higher education degree (University of Applied Sciences, University or Polytechnic) in health, management, or business administration

• a recognised qualification in hospital management (Certificate, Expert Diploma, MAS or equivalent recognised by the Cantonal Medical Service)
• at least five years of proven experience in a general management or healthcare institution leadership role
• an excellent knowledge of the Swiss healthcare system, the Vaud legal framework, and hospital financing mechanisms

• Experience in crisis management, cantonal hospital planning, quality management (ISO 9001 or equivalent), as well as sensitivity to integrated care and the challenges of mountain regions will be appreciated assets.

• Fluency in French is essential. Knowledge of German and/or English is an advantage.
