Cybersecurity with technical depth: This position is aimed at an experienced security professional who not only assesses risks but actively improves security architectures. The focus is on threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and the continuous development of a modern security landscape.
Responsibilities:
Further development of a holistic cybersecurity strategy for complex IT environments
Analysis of threats, vulnerabilities, and potential attack scenarios
Conducting security assessments, technical audits, and structured risk analyses
Development and implementation of security standards and technical security controls
Monitoring and analysing security-relevant events in collaboration with SOC and IT teams
Coordination and technical support of incident response processes
Analysis of complex security incidents and derivation of sustainable improvement measures
Management of external penetration tests, vulnerability scans, and security assessments
Further development of SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and firewall solutions
Establishment and optimisation of modern detection and response processes
Management of vulnerability management including prioritisation and tracking of remediation measures
Optimisation of patch and endpoint security strategies
Support in securing Microsoft 365 and hybrid IT environments
Support of security audits and certification processes
Development of technical security concepts for new systems and digital services
Conducting security awareness training, phishing simulations, and practical workshops
Qualifications:
Degree or higher education in computer science, cybersecurity, information security, or a comparable technical field
Several years of experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, or a comparable technical role
Solid practical experience in implementing technical security measures
Experience with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, network security, or incident response
Good knowledge of modern Microsoft 365 and IT infrastructures
Understanding of network architectures, identities, endpoints, and multi-layered security concepts
Experience with security assessments, penetration tests, or technical audits
Ideally certifications such as CISSP, CISM, OSCP, ISO 27001, or comparable qualifications
Analytical thinking and strong skills in technical root cause analysis
Independent, structured, and responsible working style
Interest in current attack methods, security research, and new technologies
