Assistant to the Chief Physician

The University Clinic for General Internal Medicine ensures general internal medical care for the Bern region and is also one of the largest medical training and research clinics in Switzerland. As the assistant to the chief physician and head of the Medical Outpatient Clinic (MedPol), you will take on a central hub function and support him in his diverse tasks in the clinic, teaching, and research within the University Clinic for General Internal Medicine.

What to expect

• Correspondence in German, French, and English with various internal and external contacts
• Preparation of consultations, appointment scheduling, and care of private patients
• Independent management of the agenda of the chief physician and head of the Medical Outpatient Clinic
• Organisation and coordination of meetings
• Support of the chief physician in his diverse tasks in clinic, teaching, and research

What you bring

• Completed commercial training or training as a medical secretary with several years of professional experience in the administrative field
• Very good MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Organisational talent, initiative, and a strong service orientation
• Independent, structured working style, flexibility, teamwork, and discretion
• Confident German, very good French skills (at least B2), and good English skills
