The Natural History Museum of the City of Geneva (MHN) is one of the leading scientific and cultural institutions in Switzerland. It carries out research, conservation, mediation, and enhancement of natural heritage missions.
A large-scale collection preservation project was approved in June 2026 in addition to ongoing projects concerning significant infrastructure works and new museography. In this context, the Museum wishes to establish a programme organisation for the operational management of the various ongoing projects. This extensive programme aims to sustainably strengthen the preservation of the museum's exhibited collections, prepare the public opening of the museum with its renovated galleries, as well as all the new spaces planned in the various ongoing projects.

Project Manager - Programme and Project Coordinator (80% part-time position)
Your mission and responsibilities
- Ensure the coordination of the programme comprising the Museum's various projects (disinfestation, museography, and infrastructure works), managing the operational steering of the programme based on the strategy defined and approved by the governance bodies.
- Coordinate the disinfestation project of the galleries (PR 1760)
- Prepare, structure, and monitor the files necessary for the management of the programme and project, supporting strategic decisions, in close connection with the established governance, working groups, support services, steering bodies, and contracted providers.
- Coordinate the work of multidisciplinary teams and working groups involved, ensuring coherence of methods, respect for objectives, deadlines, and quality requirements of the projects.
- Provide high-level expertise in the management of complex and cross-functional projects, and advise management in the analysis, orientation, and validation of produced work.
- Act as the institutional interface between the various internal and external project stakeholders, ensuring the flow of information, monitoring decisions, and traceability of actions.
- Identify, anticipate, and manage risks that may impact the completion or purpose of the projects, and propose appropriate solutions in case of critical situations or incidents.
- Produce and deliver finalised deliverables (analyses, studies, summary notes, steering documents) within the allotted deadlines, and ensure their updating according to project developments.
Your profile
- Hold a university-level qualification (master's degree or equivalent) in heritage, conservation, architecture, project management, or a related field.
- Have significant professional experience in managing complex and cross-functional projects in an institutional, heritage, or cultural context. Knowledge of the Hermès framework will be considered an asset.
- Demonstrate a keen sense of organisation, ability to plan, prioritise, and coordinate work involving multiple actors and interdisciplinary skills.
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, proven ability to work in networks, and to unite internal partners around common objectives.
- Possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and a proven ability to adapt discourse according to interlocutors and contexts.
- Show strong writing and analytical skills, enabling the production of structured, clear, and well-argued documents for steering and decision-making bodies.
- Demonstrate autonomy, rigour, reliability, and the ability to thrive in a demanding and constantly evolving environment.
