The Opportunity

As the Access Strategy Leader in Diagnostics Global Access & Policy (GA&P) you will be part of the Access Strategy Chapter and will be responsible for co-creating integrated global

access strategies to maximize the value and access of our portfolio and pipeline.

Job Facts

  • Act as Global Access & Policy functional partner in Life Cycle Management

  • Define, lead, oversee and manage multiple strategic access projects across assigned lifecycle team(s) to ensure the highest quality, relevant, on-time and within budget deliverables

  • Lead the development of the global access strategy and act as an integrated member of the SQUAD and Life Cycle Team on all elements related to the overall strategy for a brand/product/disease program.

  • Work closely with your GA&P counterparts, regions, affiliates and key internal stakeholders to deliver an access strategy as a part of the integrated product strategy that leads to rapid, broad and sustainable access.

  • Interact and closely collaborate with the RDS/RIS Leaders and International Business Leaders to ensure the priority products are considered within the global access strategy as appropriate.

  • Co-create access materials and outputs which incorporate diverse stakeholder perspectives such as HTA bodies, Payers, Policy Makers, Governments, Patients to successfully support reimbursement submission and Access processes globally.

  • Representative to assigned projects across  Lifecycle Teams and other key stakeholders; keeping key partners/stakeholders apprised of activities, milestones, any risks, etc.

  • Apply expertise to develop and embed access strategy and project management capabilities from target product profile through product development cycle.

  • Collaborate with GA&P functions to drive access product strategy. (Evidence Generation, Health Systems Policy, Strategic Pricing & Contracting and Access Engagement Chapters) to deliver key insights/materials needed to support the integrated strategy and to shape the co-creation of the evidence plan.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, health economics, life sciences, public health, public policy, marketing or a related discipline; MBA or other Graduate or higher-level Degree in science, business or a related discipline is preferred

  •  6 or more years of access experience in the diagnostic /pharmaceutical or related industry. Multidisciplinary experience working in a variety of functions within and beyond Access is preferred

  • Significant experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a matrix team environment; strong, existing relationships with key healthcare systems, decision-makers and influencers; significant consulting/project work experience in access is strongly preferred

  • Experience at both affiliate and global levels and a mix of experience in developing and developed markets is strongly preferred

  • Ability to work in a matrix organization and lead diverse teams to achieve common goals with a track record of effective strategic decision-making.

  • Ability to understand complex scientific issues and effectively translating these into effective access and business strategies.

  • Capabilities to deliver impactful messages / strategic recommendations to a broad range of stakeholders internally and externally.

  • Deep knowledge of the Access landscape and healthcare archetypes (in depth knowledge of key markets such as EU5, Canada, Brazil, China and the US is an advantage).

  • Agile leadership skills (Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, Coach) to motivate and lead a diverse multicultural team is essential.

  • Ability to see the big picture and give strategic direction as well as to provide more granularity when exchanging with a wide range of access experts.

  • Eager to co-create GA&P to enable our ambition: Double patient access to novel, high-medical-value diagnostics solutions

  • Highly motivated, self-organized and self-driven

  • Fluent in English
