The role - We are now recruiting for a new Industrial Strategy Manager to join our impactful Footprint Planning team within our Operations Strategy & Results Delivery (OSRD) team! This team is the nerve centre for Operations that nurtures and delivers projects aligned to PMI's transformational aims across our Operations sub-functions, ultimately enabling the Industrial Transformation from conventional cigarettes toward smoke-free products. This position qualifies for PMI's Smart Work policy (monthly average of 40% in office, 60% home office), giving you the freedom and flexibility to plan your work plans around your personal commitments. Your ‘day to day’ – • As a Strategy Manager, you will develop and conduct analysis (e.g. capacity utilization, financial investments and returns, sourcing changes, etc) while encouraging and supporting operational teams in the execution of industrial strategy projects. • Own and coordinate daily activities acting as an integral partner to internal collaboration, working with multi-functional colleagues to ensure the roll out of new product innovation or industrial strategies across Operations • Develop sound conclusions based on project methodology and data-based insights. • Present clear and fact-based recommendations to guide and reassure Steering Committee and Senior Operation management. • Build, own, and deliver excellent standards relating to project execution, collaboration, and communication. Who we’re looking for: • Bachelors or Masters level qualification within Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance or related technical fields, MBA is considered a plus. • 5+ years of work experience in a Consultancy environment (Strategy, Finance, or Operations area (e.g. Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Project Management)). • Candidates with confirmed experience and who care about delivering excellent performance throughout your career while influencing key partners of varying seniority. • Proficient communication skills using active listening skills, empathy, and a customer-centric approach. • Sophisticated Excel modelling knowledge, knowledge of optimization tools (e.g. Solver, Matlab, Python, Llamasoft, Riverlogic) as well as tools used in Operations Strategies (capacity and demand, P&L, NPV calculations, SAP extractions). • Advanced Knowledge of Finance & Cost Management. • Analytical & data-centric mindset, combined with project management proficiency. • Ability to build personal relationships based on trust, care, and mutual respect. • Capacity to operate within ambiguity, complexity and uncertainty always remaining proactive and open to new ideas and creative solutions.
