We are looking for an experienced Application Integration Engineer specializes in the seamless integration of various software applications and systems, who is interested in operating and expanding our highly efficient messaging infrastructure in Zurich. You have extensive experience with IBM MQ (Message Queue), IBM App Connect Enterprise (formerly known as IBM Integration Bus or IIB), and knowledge of financial messaging standards such as SWIFT messages and FIX protocols. YOUR CHALLENGE

• Design, develop, and implement integration solutions using IBM MQ and IBM App Connect Enterprise
• Analyze existing systems and workflows to identify integration points and recommend solutions that enhance system interoperability
• Configure and manage IBM MQ queues, topics, and channels, ensuring robust and reliable message delivery
• Administer and maintain IBM App Connect Enterprise environments, including creating and managing integration flows, message sets, and service endpoints
• Develop and manage integrations involving SWIFT messages and FIX protocols to support financial transactions and communications
• Provide ongoing support for integration solutions, troubleshoot issues, and ensure minimal downtime. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• Optimize performance of integration solutions by fine-tuning configurations and monitoring system health
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for integration processes, configurations, and maintenance procedures
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including software developers, system administrators, business analysts, and project managers to deliver integration projects on time and within scope
• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical integration issues, ensuring prompt resolution of incidents
• Ensure that integration solutions comply with organizational security policies and industry regulations, implementing necessary safeguards

YOUR PROFILE

Required Skills and Experience

• Proficient in IBM MQ, including setup, configuration, and administration
• Extensive experience with IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), including flow creation, deployment, and administration
• Knowledge of SWIFT messages and FIX protocols, with experience in integrating these financial messaging standards
• Proficiency in relevant programming languages such as Java, ESQL, and scripting languages like Python or Shell
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns and best practices
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause identification and resolution
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both German and English, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• IBM Certified Solution Developer / IBM MQ Administrator V8.0 or higher.
• Previous experience in a similar role within industries such as finance, healthcare, or retail
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Educational Background

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
