It’s fair to say that weather can have a huge impact on all of our lives, both personally and professionally, so this is why, here at Meteomatics, we focus on the processing and provision of high quality weather data as well as the development of meteorological software products.

Join us as a UX/UI Design Intern and dive into the exciting world of weather applications. As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the design and development of cutting-edge web and mobile applications, all while gaining invaluable hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.

Your responsibilities

• Design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for both web and mobile meteorological applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints.
• Assist in the preparation of research plans and questions for user testing and feedback sessions.
• Contribute to the creation and execution of usability tests to gather valuable insights into user behavior and preferences.
• Synthesize and evaluate findings from usability tests and user feedback to inform iterative design improvements.
• Work with analytical tools to track user interactions and derive meaningful insights to enhance the user experience.
• Iterate on designs based on feedback, usability testing results, and data analysis to continually improve product usability and satisfaction.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX/UI design and meteorology.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of design systems and UI libraries to ensure consistency and scalability across products.
• Communicate design ideas and rationale effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Your qualifications

• Studies in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• Proficiency in design tools like Figma.
• Understanding of UX/UI design principles and best practices, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment, with solid communication and interpersonal skills.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced scale-up environment, with a proactive and self-motivated attitude.
• Basic knowledge of user research methodologies and usability testing
• Familiarity with analytical tools such as Google Analytics or Hotter
