The Academic Office department is responsible for fostering an environment of academic excellence and integrity across the EHL Group. Its mission includes overseeing academic governance, ensuring compliance and accreditation, managing faculty affairs and development, supporting thought leadership and research strategy, and maintaining institutional relations with academic authorities. Through these responsibilities, the Academic Office strives to build a dynamic and supportive academic ecosystem that empowers students, faculty, and researchers to reach their highest potential.

The mission of the Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs is to support the Chief Academic Officer in the strategic oversight and quality assurance of EHL HBS faculty affairs, while facilitating faculty support and development across the EHL Group. The role is responsible for strategic development and quality assurance processes related to recruitment, incentivization, and professional growth of faculty members. In collaboration with other Associate Deans, it plays a key role in advancing faculty performance, engagement, and well-being. The position leads initiatives that strengthen institutional values and drive EHL’s strategy, mission, and vision.
What will you do?
- Develop and implement strategies to foster excellence and innovation in teaching and learning across the EHL Group.
- Lead the Centre of Teaching & Learning Excellence, providing centralized and personalized faculty development programs in pedagogy, EdTech, and research.
- Drive pedagogical and EdTech foresight, introducing innovative teaching practices and tools to inspire faculty and enhance learning.
- Organize faculty-focused events and collaborations with external experts to promote networking and teaching excellence.
- Engage internal and external stakeholders to strengthen EHL’s reputation nationally and internationally in teaching and learning.
- Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making for faculty affairs, ensuring alignment and synergies across departments and educational tools.
- Advocate EHL values, inclusivity, diversity, and continuous improvement, promoting pedagogical innovation and adaptive teaching methods.
- Showcase faculty achievements and outcomes through communication channels to enhance institutional visibility and impact.
Who you are?
- You have a PhD or equivalent degree and hold the rank of Associate or Full Professor in management and/or hospitality.
- You are an experienced leader with strong team-building and people management skills.
- You have expertise in faculty affairs, development, and policymaking within higher education.
- You have experience in strategic planning, decision-making, and setting up teaching and learning initiatives.
- You are skilled in overseeing faculty recruitment, performance evaluations, mentoring, and budgeting processes.
- You have strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with adaptability and time management across multiple projects.
- You have a deep understanding of Swiss and international higher education landscapes and policies.
- You are fluent in English and French (C1).
