Our client is a leading international industrial company operating in a highly technical manufacturing environment.
Description
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement the sourcing strategy for the assigned commodity (metal components).
- Manage and develop an international supplier portfolio, ensuring competitiveness, quality and delivery performance.
- Lead supplier selection processes, RFQs, commercial negotiations and contract management.
- Drive cost reduction, value engineering and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Project teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions where required.
- Support new product development and industrialization projects from a procurement perspective.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks while ensuring business continuity.
Profile
Your Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in strategic procurement of metal components.
- Previous experience purchasing categories such as castings, forgings, machined parts, fabricated metal components or similar.
- Experience gained within demanding industrial sectors such as aerospace, aviation, automotive, railway or other advanced manufacturing environments.
- Strong negotiation, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and supplier management.
- Fluent English is mandatory. Additional European languages are considered an asset.
