The Tech Solutions department at EHL is responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing digital tools and technological platforms. It ensures system performance, data security, and the integration of new technologies to support both academic and administrative activities. The team collaborates with various departments to design tailored solutions that meet user needs. The mission of the Network & Cloud Engineer is to maintain and optimize EHL’s campus network infrastructure while leading the migration to Cisco Meraki for cloud-managed networking. This role ensures secure hybrid connectivity in Microsoft Azure and supports both ongoing operations and network modernization initiatives, delivering reliable, scalable, and secure network solutions for a global academic environment.
What will you do?
- Maintain and operate the current network infrastructure to ensure reliability, security, and compliance.
- Design, implement, and manage campus network upgrades, leading the migration to Cisco Meraki with dashboard configuration, templates, and policy deployment.
- Coordinate with external network partners for systematic updates, site audits, and continuous improvements.
- Build and maintain Azure networking components.
- Define network baselines, lifecycle and firmware plans, configuration backups, and release management; automate repeatable tasks.
- Strengthen security and Zero Trust principles through segmentation (campus and cloud), NAC/802.1X, secure remote access, and policy governance; align with SSE/SASE initiatives.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot incidents, engage TAC/partners, and drive root cause analysis and preventive actions; conduct monthly and quarterly service reviews with KPIs.
- Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation (diagrams, inventories, SOPs, runbooks) and deliver knowledge transfer sessions to support engineers and stakeholder teams.
Who you are?
- You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field, plus certifications like Cisco CCNA/CCNP and Microsoft AZ-700 (Meraki ECMS is a strong plus).
- You have 5 years of experience in network engineering across campus/WAN/Wi-Fi and Azure cloud, including infrastructure upgrades and migrations to Cisco Meraki and hybrid architectures.
- You have hands-on expertise with Cisco switching/wireless, Meraki Dashboard operations, and automation using Meraki APIs.
- You have deep knowledge of Azure networking.
- You have strong security skills applying Zero Trust principles, NAC/802.1X, segmentation, secure remote access, and familiarity with SSE/SASE frameworks.
- You are an excellent communicator, pragmatic and process-driven, skilled in automation (PowerShell, Python) and ideally Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Bicep), and collaborative in coaching teams.
- You are fluent in English and French (C1); German being an advantage.
