24 months with possibility of extension/conversion to permanent contract
Our interdisciplinary research group is at the forefront of investigating human metabolism. We translate these insights into innovative strategies for the prevention and treatment of diabetes, obesity, and other endocrine and metabolic disorders. By integrating advanced metabolic physiology studies with cutting-edge digital technologies, we conduct transformative clinical metabolic research that drives impactful discoveries.
Key responsibilities
• Manage all phases of metabolic research projects, from study design through to dissemination of results
• Coordinate experimental and clinical human studies, ensuring high standards of scientific rigor
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
• Facilitate collaboration between clinicians, researchers, and administrative staff members
• Prepare and review scientific manuscripts, grant proposals, and regulatory documents
• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulatory requirements
• Support knowledge transfer, training and implementation of new workflows at the intersection of research and clinical practice
• Coordinate patient and public involvement initiatives to ensure research is aligned with patient needs and perspectives
• Liaise with key stakeholders, including legal departments, funding agencies, industry partners, and academic collaborators
• Scout and identify relevant grant opportunities to support ongoing and future research
Your Profile
• Academic or professional qualification in life sciences, advanced nursing, or dietetics
• Proven working experience in clinical research, including both human experimental studies and clinical trials, including clinical trial methodologies
• Proven project management skills in a research or clinical environment
• Excellent scientific writing and communication skills
• Fluency in both German and English (written and spoken)
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements relevant to clinical research
• Familiarity with local clinical research frameworks, ideally at Inselspital Bern and within Switzerland, is highly desirable
