Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and driven CFO who combines financial expertise with an entrepreneurial mindset, very good business sense and the ability to engage at senior levels. The ideal candidate has deep understanding of project-driven business environments, in plant or mechanical engineering, and is comfortable negotiating complex topics with the C-level management of our multinational clients/ stakeholders.
This role offers significant autonomy and responsibility, including the opportunity to shape the financial and administrative direction of the company and to further develop profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership and accountability of the companies’ (project) margins, cash management and overall quality/efficiency of processes
- Lead and develop the company’s Finance, Controlling, IT, HR, Facility, and Project Controlling functions
- Collaborate closely with the CEO and the C- and Middle-management teams (including technical leadership team) as well as with the shareholders/advisory board
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and forecasts and ensure continuous improvement of the company’s profitability with specific involvement in e.g. cost reduction initiatives
- Manage contractual and legal matters, including risk analysis/ risk management and negotiation of key client or supplier agreements/ contracts.
- Ensure smooth relationships with banks and other stakeholders.
- Optimize internal project-related processes and cross-functional coordination
- Ensure robust liquidity planning in an international project environment
Requirements
Your Profile
- University degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Controlling
- Minimum 7–8 years of relevant experience in a project-based business, ideally within plant or mechanical engineering
- Demonstrated leadership ability with strong business acumen
- Confident communicator with a professional presence, able to manage discussions at executive level
- Hands-on, pragmatic, and team-oriented working style
- Fluent in English (management level) and French (daily operations and team communication)
