Swissquote is seeking an experienced professional to lead our Fixed Income and Funds trading activities. As the Head of Fixed Income and Funds, you will oversee two teams of traders, manage key external relationships, drive operational efficiency and technology initiatives, and contribute to the commercial and strategic direction of our Fixed Income and Funds offering.
Key Responsibilities :
Team Management:
- Creating a motivating, productive, and safe environment by:

- Ensuring new hires are properly introduced to the team, the organization, its culture, policies, and their specific roles.
- Ensuring fair compensation and promotions
- Performance Management: Setting performance expectations, providing feedback, conducting performance reviews, and addressing any performance issues.
- Succession Planning: Identifying and developing key talent to ensure continuity and readiness for other key positions within the team or the organization.
- Talent Development and Retention: Contributing to the creation of motivating career paths and skills development programs, and providing creative solutions to retain talent.
- Managing all main HR processes and guiding your Ads in dealing with it (hiring, termination, transfers, warnings).
Operations management:
- Fixed Income counterparty management: Oversee and develop relationships with fixed income trading counterparts, ensuring robust and efficient execution, market access and increased automation.
- Fund relationship Management: Maintain and improve relationships with fund companies, transfer agents, and fund brokers ensuring optimal commercial conditions, ensuring robust and efficient execution and increased automation.
- Operational Excellence: Drive efficiency and improvements in daily operations, including implementing and aligning trading technology projects across desks.
- Product Management: Work in close collaboration with other internal stakeholders to set the direction and drive continued improvement of Swissquote’s offering for Fixed Income and Money Markets, Investment Funds and Lombard Loans.
- Commercial Involvement: Participate in commercial discussions to support business growth and product development.
- Representing: Being able to represent the department to other stakeholders within the bank.
- Documentation and Procedures: Making sure documentation and procedures are regularly reviewed and kept up to date.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of proven experience managing a Fixed Income trading desk, ideally with some exposure to Money Markets or Investment Funds as well.
- Strong understanding of Fixed Income market structure, instruments, and regulatory environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage trading operations efficiently and contribute to technology and automation initiatives.
- Good network or working relationships with fixed income counterparties; experience with fund providers is a bonus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and contribute to broader business and product strategy discussions.
- A proactive mindset, capable of balancing hands-on involvement with strategic thinking.
