About Our Client
For our client, a globally recognized contract research and development organization specializing in pharmaceutical and biotech analytics, we are seeking a talented Analytical Scientist (m/f/d). This leading CRO operates at the forefront of drug development with state-of-the-art facilities near Basel and serves top-tier pharmaceutical innovators worldwide. With over 800 highly qualified professionals, the company is renowned for its scientific excellence and commitment to advancing safer, more effective therapies from early development through commercialization.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust analytical methods for analyzing process-related impurities and excipients utilizing HPLC/UPLC techniques with UV and fluorescence detection
- Execute validation protocols and ensure seamless method transfer to support pharmaceutical development projects under GMP guidelines
- Collaborate cross-functionally with project teams to deliver analytical solutions that meet regulatory standards and customer requirements
- Author technical documentation including validation reports, standard operating procedures, and analytical summaries
- Troubleshoot complex analytical challenges and optimize existing methodologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Maintain laboratory instrumentation and ensure compliance with quality management systems and safety regulation
- Support client interactions by providing technical expertise and presenting analytical data
Your Profile
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry or related field or an Apprenticeship in Chemistry with at least 5 years of hands-on industry experience
- Proven expertise in developing, validating, and transferring HPLC/UPLC methods in a pharmaceutical or biotech setting
- Strong knowledge of GMP regulations and experience working in quality-controlled laboratory environments
- Proficiency with chromatographic data systems (e.g., Empower, Chromeleon) and LIMS applications
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail and scientific rigor
- Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken); German language proficiency is advantageous
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with regulatory submissions and familiarity with ICH guidelines is a plus
