To strengthen our Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) / Corporate team in Geneva, we are looking for a highly educated individual who 1. has experience in Corporate Business / 2. is interested in Corporate / Company law in general, and who wishes to develop his/her career as a Paralegal with exciting mandates. You will work closely with colleagues from different countries and contribute your ideas in a dynamic international environment.
Your tasks / your responsibilities:
As a corporate Paralegal you play an essential role in corporate law matters in our successful M&A team as you help drive many aspects of our corporate legal transactions:
- Preparing and filing corporate documents, maintaining corporate records, and handling other legal matters related to the company
- Assisting with corporate law matters, managing numerous aspects of corporate legal transactions
- Intake & Triage: Sorting legal inquiries and referring each inquiry to the appropriate attorney for resolution
- Record keeping, drafting and maintaining organizational documents and filings annual required reports
- Litigation support including responding to document requests, complaints and discovery
- Contract Management, drafting, reviewing, and updating various contracts such as employment agreements, non-disclosure agreements, vendor contracts, and partnership agreements
- Legal research: Researching and keeping up to date with laws, regulations and legislationHigh quality support for our lawyers to provide an excellent service to corporates
What you bring along
- Completed commercial training and/or training as a paralegal or notary degree
- Previous knowledge as a notary assistant
- Interest in Corporate Law, contracts, mergers and acquisitions, compliance
- Sound knowledge of MS Office and Outlook, willingness to thrive in a digital environment
- French and German as native languages; strong proficiency in English is required
- Good work and time management
- Strong drive, willingness to learn and adapt to expanding own knowledge and skills
- Strong service orientation – a "client first" culture
- Respect and enjoy the diversity of cultural, social and academic backgrounds at the Firm
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients and take responsibility for those relationships
