To support our Systems Engineering team, we are looking for our offices in Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland for a:
Purpose:
Serve as technical manager for the development of a generic Leclanché product (Level 1) or for the development of a specific product for a client (Level 2).
The project manager is responsible (technically, economically, and in terms of deadlines) for all engineering department deliverables in accordance with the product development process linked to the project management process (NPI).
The project manager is the primary contact for all engineering deliverables.
The technical leader may also be responsible for application engineering activities for a generic product for which he is responsible for development (Level 1).
Role & Responsibilities:
- Manage the engineering department within a matrix organization to obtain all engineering deliverables.
- Monitor design reviews.
- Plan deliverables in accordance with the project schedule.
- Prepare progress summaries.
- Propose technical solutions to enable the project manager to make technical, economic, and planning decisions. He is the window person for the client for whom the product is being developed (Level 2).
- Respond to requests from application engineers or bid managers in response to RFIs/RFQs for the generic product (Level 1) for which the is responsible for development.
- Provide diverse technical support to the clients during the different project phases and also act as an interface between the client and multiple stakeholders within Leclanché.
Skills & Experience:
- Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or similar field.
- At least 7 years’ of people management experience in an international environment.
- At least 5 years’ experience developing batteries (Up to 1200V) in an industrial setting – Automotive, Marine, Railway etc.
- Use and configuration of various communication protocols – CanBus, CanOpen, Ethernet etc and a strong ability to analyse and interpret data.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEC 62928, EN50155 EN 45545, ISO 17025, ECE R-100, ECE R-10, DNVGL standards etc.).

Languages:
English very good spoken and writing
French, German or other European languages are a plus
Other:
This job will require travelling (up to 20%).
