Senior System Engineer

We are looking for a Senior System Engineer who will take strong ownership of our infrastructure stack and contribute to its evolution, reliability and security posture.

Act as technical reference for:

• Nutanix (AHV, storage, cluster lifecycle management)
• Veeam Backup & Replication
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux

Contribute to the administration and evolution of:

• Privileged Access Management
• Core network and security components
• Windows server environments (where applicable)
• Maintain strong infrastructure documentation and operational procedures.

Resilience, Backup & Business Continuity

• Own backup and recovery architecture across virtual machines, databases and storage systems.
• Participate in the design, testing and continuous improvement of BCP/DRP frameworks.
• Ensure recovery objectives are documented, realistic and tested.
• Contribute to audit readiness and operational controls.
• This role is critical in maintaining operational resilience within a financial environment.

Monitoring, Logging & Automation

• Contribute to continuous improvement of system monitoring and log management.
• Develop and maintain internal automation scripts (PowerShell preferred, Shell scripting on Linux).
• Drive simplification and operational efficiency initiatives.

Governance & Operational Robustness

• Coordinate patch management processes.
• Support internal audits and control frameworks.
• Collaborate with external vendors and service providers.
• Advise management on infrastructure-related technical decisions.
• Participate in exceptional interventions when required.

Profile

Master's degree in computer science, engineering or a related field.

5-10+ years of experience as System Engineer in enterprise environments.

Strong hands-on infrastructure experience.

Proven experience in banking, asset management or financial services preferred.

Hyperconverged or enterprise virtualization platform (Nutanix strongly preferred).

Enterprise backup and recovery solutions.

Advanced Linux administration (Red Hat or equivalent).

Solid networking and infrastructure security fundamentals.

Nice to Have

Experience with PAM solutions.

Experience with enterprise monitoring or SIEM solutions.

Exposure to database environments (Sybase, Oracle, MS SQL Server).

Relevant certifications (Nutanix, Linux, Veeam, Security).
